Please note the Drive Key modchip is now out of production, it has been replaced with the WiiKey Fusion modchip.
The WiiKey Fusion provides all of the functions of the Drive Key and the same simple plug and play solderless installation as well as introducing the ability to load games from SD cards. This provides support for the new D3-2 / D3-mini and D4 DVD drives/chipsets found in the latest black and white Wii consoles which were incompatible with the Drive Key to load games from SD card!
Please note, we are receiving reports of poor backup DVD compatibility with the WiiKey Fusion so we are recommending that if you have a console which can play backups from DVD and would like a modchip that can load backups from DVD that you use the Wasabi DX.
If you have a newer console that cannot play backups from DVD, the WiiKey Fusion will still work fine with loading backups from SD card and original games from DVD.
A cheaper direct replacement for the Drive Key is the Wasabi DX, it has exactly the same functions and features as the Drive Key and is only £22.99!

The DriveKey modchip is the world's first 100% solderless plug and play modding solution for the Wii console. This means no more soldering, simply open the Wii, disconnect the DVD drive cable from the mainboard and connect to the DriveKey. Using the ribbon cable provided, connect the Drive Key to the mainboard, simple as that!
If you have a console with epoxy/'black glue' on the drive controller or a new D3/'D2nothing' console, the Drive Key is compatible with all Wii consoles apart from those with D3-2 drives, simply plug and play.

Please Note: DriveKey is designed to modify your Wii game console. However, Wii was not designed with DriveKey nor any other mod chip in mind. While every effort has been taken to ensure that DriveKey is compatible with a broad range of media and drives there is no guarantee that any given media or game will work on a specific drive. There are a number of factors beyond the scope of DriveKey functionality that affects media compatibility, such as the laser diode and other internal circuitry in the DVD drive.
